中秋節(jié)，為每年農(nóng)歷的八月十五。按照中國(guó)的農(nóng)歷，八月為秋季的第二個(gè)月，古時(shí)稱為仲秋，因此民間稱為中秋，又稱秋夕、八月節(jié)、八月半、月夕、月節(jié)，又因?yàn)檫@一天月亮滿圓，象征團(tuán)圓，又稱為團(tuán)圓節(jié)。民間中秋節(jié)有吃月餅、賞月、賞桂花、猜燈謎等多種習(xí)俗。 農(nóng)歷八月十五日，是中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)的中秋節(jié)，也是中國(guó)僅次于春節(jié)的第二大傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日。八月十五恰在秋季的中間，故謂之中秋節(jié)。中國(guó)古歷法把處在秋季中間的八月，稱謂“仲秋”，所以中秋節(jié)又叫“仲秋節(jié)”。
